Living Studio, Talking Rooms.
Paris has long embraced a way of living where spaces evolve with the lives unfolding within them.
Its most compelling interiors were never designed around a single purpose. Apartments became salons. Studios became homes. Dining rooms were as much for exchanging ideas as they were for dining. Creative work unfolded alongside everyday rituals, each enriching the other.
Living Studio revisits that tradition through a contemporary lens.
Set within a classical Parisian shell, the space explores an increasingly relevant question: what if the most valuable room in the home is not a room at all, but a series of environments designed to adapt throughout the day?
A home shaped by creativity, not routine.
Here, architecture establishes the framework while materiality creates identity.
The kitchen serves as the project's defining gesture. Fabricated with Montagna Jade, the island anchors the interior like a sculptural centerpiece. Its dramatic linear movement introduces a sense of direction and momentum, transforming a typically functional element into something more akin to furniture or artwork. It is a place for preparing meals, certainly, but equally a place for gathering, discussing, sketching, working, and entertaining. The distinction becomes irrelevant.
Throughout the residence, permanence and flexibility coexist.
In the dining room, Montagna Grey reinforces that balance. The monolithic table possesses the gravitas of a boardroom while remaining unmistakably residential. Surrounded by warm wood and framed by elegant Parisian detailing, it becomes a setting for exchange rather than a single activity. Breakfast becomes a meeting. A meeting becomes dinner. The room remains the same while its purpose continuously evolves.
This fluidity reflects a broader shift in the way contemporary urban life is experienced. Increasingly, spaces are expected to support multiple identities, professional and personal, social and private, productive and restorative. The most successful interiors no longer separate these experiences. They accommodate them.
Where living and working share the same address.
Nowhere is this transition more evident than in the bathroom.
Wrapped in Tuscano Burgundy, the vanity and bathtub introduce a dramatic moment of retreat. Rich burgundy tones intersect with expressive white veining, creating an atmosphere that feels intimate and cinematic. Underfoot, French Vanilla softens the experience, bringing lightness and warmth to the composition. Together, the materials create a space that feels less like a bathroom and more like a private refuge within the city.
The modern atelier, reimagined.
The journey concludes in the bedroom, where the atmosphere shifts toward quiet restraint. A feature wall clad in Lithoform Veincut Vista introduces soft linear movement and natural texture, creating a sense of depth without overwhelming the space. Underfoot, Huxley Honey Oak brings warmth and subtle character, its gentle wood grain complementing the room's muted palette. Together, these surfaces establish a setting defined by balance and calm, offering a restorative counterpart to the more expressive material moments found throughout the home.
What emerges is not simply a collection of rooms but a portrait of contemporary living.
A home that functions as a workplace without feeling corporate. A workplace that maintains the comfort and intimacy of home. An environment where hospitality, creativity, and everyday life occupy the same address. In this sense, Living Studio is less about design than it is about possibility. The possibility that a single interior can support many versions of ourselves throughout the course of a day.
