    Bekir Elmaagacli, the progenitor of the Elmaagacli family, starts a construction materials wholesale distribution business in Ankara, Turkiye.

  2. A fresh start.

    1960

    Siblings Galip and Orhan Elmaagacli take over the business.

  3. A step forward.

    1980

    Ceramic tile products are offered to customers, planting the seed of what's to come.

    1987

    A young Elmaagacli family immigrates to Canada to start a new life.

  5. The beginning of Anatolia.

    1995

    Son of Galip, Cengiz Elmaagacli founds Anatolia, a new source of ceramic and porcelain tiles in a 4,300 sq ft / 400 m2 facility in Markham, Ontario.

  6. A first milestone.

    1996

    Anatolia's first containers are offloaded on the Canadian territory. A new era begins. The company introduces glass products to the product offering.

  7. New expansions.

    1997

    The first company developed 30,000 sq ft / 2,800 m2 property in Brampton, Ontario chronicles the beginning of future growth.

  8. New horizons.

    2000

    Anatolia inaugurates a new 80,000 sq ft / 7,400 m2 facility in Brampton, Ontario, allowing it to service the USA market and major Canadian Home Centres.

  9. The start of many tradeshows.

    2002

    Showcasing the Anatolia brand and collections for the first time at the Coverings tradeshow in Orlando, Florida.

  10. The journey continues.

    2005

    The start of a new 250,000 sq ft / 23,000 m2 facility in Thornhill, Ontario, offering mosaics collections for the first time ever.

  11. Anatolia Capital is formed.

    2010

    Anatolia begins to acquire additional real estate for future expansions.

  12. Innovating and moving forward.

    2011

    Almost doubling its footprint at 600,000 sq ft / 56,000 m2 in Vaughan, Ontario, introducing its first cross dock facility and a new Product Development division.

  13. Sourcing globally.

    2011

    The beginnings of an international sourcing team in China, which would later establish a sourcing department and office.

  14. Sourcing team expands.

    2013

    The beginnings of an international sourcing team in Turkiye, who would later establish an office.

  15. Continued growth.

    2016

    Anatolia builds an additional warehouse facility in Caledon, Ontario offering a total of 950,000 sq ft of inventory.

  16. The global frontier.

    2018

    Izmir, Turkiye marks the home of a new 400,000 sq ft / 37,200 m2 facility. It facilitates additional safety inventory and global expansion.

  17. New expansions on the global market.

    2019

    The first company owned facility in the USA opens in Savannah, Georgia at 400,000 sq ft / 37,000 m2. This year also marks the start of the India sourcing department.

  18. Anatolia's 25th anniversary.

    2021

    Anatolia welcomes a second facility in Savannah, Georgia, which offers an additional 1,000,000 sq ft / 93,000 m2 of warehouse space.

  19. Anatolia purchases its first vessel.

    2022

    Anatolia's first owned vessel the M/V Aramis is a testament to its global strategic vision and has a capacity of over 34,000 MT.

  20. A new frontier in manufacturing.

    2023

    The manufacturing facility in Izmir, Turkiye at 2,267,450 sq ft / 210,653 m2 is constructed, making it one of the most advanced manufacturing facilities in the world.

  21. Advancing Production Capabilities.

    2024

    In 2024, Anatolia's manufacturing facility added a second double-deck kiln, expanding to two kilns and three production lines.

  22. Expanding North American Operations.

    2025

    Anatolia converts 700 Anatolian Drive (261,552 sq ft) into a company operated facility, and expands the Savannah facility by 200,000 sq ft, further boosting capacity.

  23. Aeterna, the Journey Begins.

    Anatolia proudly introduces Aeterna—our exclusive brand of high-performance sintered slabs.
